Sattva Saturday Yoga
NOVEMBER 2008:
November 1: Twists w/ Carrie
Start November off right by opening your heart center. We’ll focus on all sorts of
different postures and variations with twists, some familiar and some possibly new.
Twists are a great way to massage your internal organs and they help your body release
toxins too!
November 8: Mandala Namasakar w/ Helen
This class will incorporate the Mandala Namaskar into a flowing "vinyasa" practice. The
Mandala is the sacred circle symbol and using this as our template, we will dive
deliciously into Dancing Warrior wave sequences along with other aspects of our practice.
November 15: Shoulers/Upper Body & Core w/ Carrie
We’ll loosen up the shoulders with some openers and then strengthen them through
postured targeting the shoulder/upper body area. Plus we will have some fun with core
strengthening postures too!
November 22: Waves of Gratitude w/ Helen
Using Tibetan Heart yoga as our jumping-off point, we will open ourselves with gratitude
for the blessings we have in our lives. Turn the corner from the frantic holiday pace and
allow yourself to feel the waves of gratitude flow in this heart-opening offering of yogic
expression.
November 29: Variations of Sun Salutations w/ Carrie
Let’s get our blood flowing and work off some of those calories from Thanksgiving. This
vinyasa class will use the various Sun Salutations to build internal heat as we link breath
with movement to create a fun yet challenging class for all!
